1004 THe Penthouse
The day we arrived in Bariloche we had not made any plans for a hostel so we wandered around aimless looking for a place. We were approached at the square by a girl clutching a Lonely Planet guide book who asked us if we were looking for a hostel because she knew of a good place. After we had started following her we started to suspect some shady business.
The place she was taking us was in the guide book named "1004 The Penthouse" but it still seemed like something out of a Stephen King movie as we walked down the hallway. Still inside it was quite nice if a bit contrived. The service was good, the beds were soft and the fellow guests were respectful. The place is on the 10th floor of the Bariloche Center building and there is no sign.
We would give this place a 3 out of 5 stars just do the overbearing incense, contrived atmosphere and the pushy staff.
