Off The Deep End

At our hostel (the best hostel in town) we returned from our walk around town to find a birthday cake for Jammie. Our hostel owner had gotten a birthday cake complete with a question mark candle and her name written in frosting. Pisco sours began flowing like water and a multilingual happy birthday singing fiesta ensued.

After our trip from hell (see the other entry for today) we arrived at Annie's birthday party! Hangar steak marinated and grilled, macaroni and cheese from scratch and green beans made a very satisfying conclusion to our long and harrowing day.
Good friends, good food and long lost family make for a great time.
